South Korea-based ENF Kyle Technology, LLC, the region’s newest high-tech manufacturer, broke ground on its more than $45 million manufacturing facility at 1550 Kohlers Crossing in the Kyle, Texas master planned community of Plum Creek.
Kyle Economic Development Director Diana Blank-Torres welcomed ENF Technology leadership, including Executive Vice President Lee Seungho, among other business and community leaders at the 25-acre site that will feature the 75,000 square foot complex. The site provides ample room for future expansion, if needed.
“We are honored to be a member of a business-friendly community that is on a phenomenal growth trajectory, said Lee Seungho, Executive Vice President of ENF Technology. “The City of Kyle and Hays County officials have warmly welcomed ENF Technology to the Texas Innovation Corridor - a location that provides the ideal site for us to serve our U.S. customers.”
Kyle continues a successful trend of attracting significant job-producing capital investments. In recent years, Alsco Linen, Seton Medical Center, and RSI, Inc. expanded their operations. In 2019, ENF Technology was one of two high-tech manufacturers to announce Kyle as the site for an expansion. SmileDirectClub, who announced this past October, was the second.
The City of Kyle is thrilled to officially break ground on the future site of ENF Kyle Technology, said Diana Blank-Torres, Director of Kyle Economic Development. “This operation will be among the highest paying employers in Kyle, elevating the quality of life for many of our residents.”
ENF Kyle Technology will begin hiring 45 to 50 employees to fill a variety of positions and levels in the second half of 2020. At full employment, the job count at the facility could expand beyond these initial estimates.
“The economic impact of ENF Kyle Technology will extend well beyond the city limits of Kyle, said Jason Giulietti, Interim President of the Greater San Marcos Partnership. “Jobs will potentially be secured by community members throughout the Greater San Marcos region in Hays and Caldwell Counties.”
Founded as an electronic materials manufacturer in 2000, ENF Technology has operations in South Korea and China. The new facility represents ENF Technology’s first and only U.S. location and expects to start commercial production in the third quarter of 2021.
